Signs of Suicide Resources
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the 2nd leading cause of death for children and adolescents ages 11 - 18 in the US is suicide. During the week of November 2 - November 6, MHS Counselors visited the sophomore English classes to present the Signs of Suicide Program.
The main message of the S.O.S program is ACT: Acknowledge, Care, Tell. Counselors will be following up with students who indicate a need to talk with a counselor about him/herself or a friend.
